New TV Show to Bring Women’s Issues to the Forefront

February 20, 2019 – Kingston, Jamaica: Stacy-Ann Smith, Kerine Muir, and Ty Williams are bringing women’s issues to the forefront with It’s A Woman’s World a new TV talk show premiering on February 26. The hour-long series will air every Tuesday on TVJ at 9:30 pm, and will touch on a broad range of topics impacting women across the world – including financial management, dealing with post partum depression and moving on after a divorce.

Produced by DanRak Productions, the show boasts that it is for women and by women. In addition to her role as host, Smith is also the creator and executive producer. Seasoned television producers Simone Wolfe and Simone Hylton are among the professionals behind the brand new series.

“The vision for this show is to give women a voice to talk about things that are real to them,” said Smith. “We hope that when women watch this show, they will not only be entertained but also know that they are not alone when it comes to some of the most important and often painful issues they face in their own lives.”

The show will feature segments that offer resources and connections to women seeking to better their lives; and others that celebrate the achievements of women who are making their mark in different spheres of life. In addition to the strong opinions of the all-female panel of hosts, It’s A Woman’s World also features the distinct voice of comedian and gynecologist Dr. Michael Abrahams who provides a male perspective on the issues.

“We are really grateful to be able to bring a dynamic show, with diverse views and topics,” said Smith. “Everybody has a place in It’s A Woman’s World because there’s not just one perspective – that’s what makes the show relevant and engaging.”

Show sponsors include Ashley Furniture HomeStore, National Commercial Bank, Jamaica Public Service Company, M Style XP and Phase 3 Productions.
